My Scented Serenity...

Welcome to my blog! Here you'll find the humble musings of a novice Aussie soap and candle maker. I hope you'll join me on my learning journey and feel free to leave comments, give advice and ask questions. I hope to be able to share with you my learnings, and inspire others, as much as so many talented people have inspired me.

Transformation...in progress (Part II)

I cannot believe it is nearly three months ago that I began the photographic journal of the transformation of our dank dungeon into a craft studio!  Where does time go?

So to continue this long and painfully drawn out story...

Day 1 ended like this...

Walls, ceiling and floor all undercoated

Come Day 2 and it's on with some colour!

Colour on the walls...

Colour on the doors...

Some colour on the frames...

And some on the floor.

By this stage we were just itching to see the completed picture.

Are we there yet?
Not quite.

Are we there yet?
Nearly...

Are we there yet?!
...

And so ended Day 2.

Day 3 of our Easter weekend was the day for a well earned rest and time for the paint to dry and harden up enough for us to come back and complete the second coats.

By the end of Day 4 we'd well and truly farewelled that forgotten, neglected room.

It was time to say 'Hello' to the new craft studio...

Mission complete!  Well almost!  What about the furniture?  What about some storage space?  What about some window coverings?

So near and yet so far!  However the day would come...soon.

At this point I'm still having a hard time believing it's the same room!

It might not have been a quiet, relaxing Easter weekend, but it sure was worth all the hard work.

  1. This design is spectacular! You most certainly know how to
keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost...HaHa!)
Great job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that,
how you presented it. Too cool!
